You will need the Model King L.A. Dart Wheelstander for a donor... ( its the
same kit other than the Mags, Headers, Manifold & Injector Tubes).
You will need a amt/ertl '69 Barracuda as a donor to build the Stock Barracuda
!
To build a Super Stock, use Revell's new '68 Hemi Dart. Basicly its the Dick
Landy '68 Dart with some extra parts trees thrown in, so that it can be built
as a 440 GTS or a Hemi Dart. What you get that you didn't get before is: an
interior floor with no console or back seat, a 426 Hemi with a four speed,
headers, cross ram intake, roll bar, Hemi style hood, Dana diff, base rear
bumper and tail panel, cragar mags, drag slicks, and a pedal assembly for
a manual transmission.
To
build the "FRED
HURST GASSER" & The MALLICOAT
BROS. GASSER, you will need to scribe out the rear wheel opening by using
the Slick from the Mustang Gasser ( also needed as a donor kit ) as a guide.

You will need to remove 12 scale inches (1/2" on a ruler) from the 1/4

you can see by the photos, Every Dart funny car had some differences .....
( Wheelbase, Long nose / Short nose,
Stock bumper / Cut bumper, Etc,Etc.).

need to make some alterations to do any individual car..........
Although with this set up, Any individual car can be built !
Two rear "PATCH PANELS" are supplied to do the rear wheel alterations......

MODELING TIPS FOR THE "MACH IV MUSTANG DRAGSTER"
Start by building frame &
front axle all together as a 1-piece unit.
The
rear axle on the Revell "SHOWBOAT", will need to be shortened to
fit the body.
Notice how the engines on the "MACH IV" are not staggered, but are straight across from each other.
You will need to make new mounting holes
on the oil pans to do this..................

Paper
clips can be used as mounting rods for the Rocker panels .......... very simple
!
.080 plastic round will be needed for pivot to raise or lower body.

You will need to add a push bar as a brace to hold up rear of body.
If you plan to use the side panels ? you will need to add your own braces
out of paper clips .......... very simple !

The only correct '66 Plymouth Valiant AFX on the market ( with the only Correct Body) !
Resin kit includes: Correct '66 Valiant Body, Hood, Interior Tub, Square Tube Chassis, Grill (with block-out Headlights), Grill Insert, Steering Column Box (with gadges), Bumpers & Taillights.
Although
hard to see in the photo, the side chrome body trim is there, along with all
the correct sail panel moldings !!!
This
kit was designed to build both (early & later versions).
To
build the later version (lowered & set back engine) you will need to cut
out part of the firewall &
floorboard, and build an L-shaped box in the interior tub to surround the
engine. you will also need to re-set the transmission mount.
