Scratch built added features: Custom built front tube axle using Speed City leaf springs and instructions,
fuel injection using Speed City intake manifold and injector tubes.

Built from a "Speed City Resin Model" #SC-11 '66 Barracuda Funny Car
and Slixx decals.

Scratch built added features: Roll bars, front suspension, headers from solder, parachute mount, fuel linkage,
gas pedal, blue tinted side windows, drive shaft (alum. tube), front air foil, filled grill area & interior door bracing.
Addition detailing with "RB MOTION" bolt kits.

 

 

Don Williamson's
"HAIRY CANARY"
1966 AWB Plymouth Valiant Funny Car

Built from a "Speed City Resin Model" #SC-28 '66 Valiant F/C
and Whoopie Kat Decals !

Scratch built added features: Roll bars, front suspension, headers from solder, rear air foil, dip stick,
block out clear red head light lenses, parachute mount, fuel linkage, gas pedal, windows, head rest,
American Rear Mag Wheels #SC- 40 (now available).
AFX Drag Slicks #SC-45 (now available).

Real car was painted in a custom mixed pale yellow.
Model was painted with a mixed color of: Testors Gloss White, Testors Ivory & Testors Light Yellow.
Fades were air brushed using Tamiya Clear Orange with pearl powder added.
(Tamiya is a water based paint, so if a mistake was made it could be wiped off using rubbing alcohol).

Tom "THE MONGOOSE" McEwen's
"HEMI CUDA"
1965 (Rear Engine) Barracuda Funny Car

Built from a "Speed City Resin Model" # SC-21 '65 Barracuda (rear engine) Funny Car.

Scratch built added features: Altered amt. '66 Barracuda interior tub, parachute pulls, front valance,
heat shield, firewall, roll bars, head rest, windshield, rear window (sectioned from kit glass), vent windows,
front fenders (added to frame), headers from solder,
header collectors, front framing (added to frame),
front suspension and T-handle hood pins (made from 2 photo-etched wing nuts).

Slixx decals were used and dry letter transfer's on the words "ASSOCIATION" (under plymouth dealers)
and " MILODON ENG." on the rear 1/4 panel.
Hand painted white racing stripes
(Slixx decals does not have the thicker pin stripes for the later version).

This was the1st model made for Speed City, it debuted on June 6 2006 !

Scratch built added features: Headers (made from solder), Hemi Hilborn injection manifold (now available),
roll bars, windows, and "Champion Spark Plugs" window decal.

Decals are by "Scale Models By Chris"
